With old-school deejay Trinity's 'Eye To Eye', the French Irie Ites Records label creates fireworks. By only deejaying over well-known hits (Barrington Levy's 'Murderer', The Heptones' 'Country Boy', Max Romeo's 'Norman The Gambler' or Might Diamonds' 'One Brother Short'), Trinity has taken few risks, but damn this works and yours truly even sees a place for 'Eye To Eye' in the top 5 for 2013! The album is introduced by old-timer and motorbike-noise imitator Joe Lickshot and 'Tribute To Gregory Isaacs', for which Trinity was backed by The Tamlins, Dillinger and Naggo Morris, reduced yours truly to tears. Excellent album!
