Green Queen Music is mostly known for its Balkan-related releases, but for 'Dub Zealand' the label explores totally different musical horizons. When regular contributor Luca Gatti aka Dr. Cat went in search of the roots of his better half he ended up in New Zealand where, to his joy, he discovered a thriving reggae and dub scene. For fans of Fat Freddy's Drop, still New Zealand's most famous reggae related export product, that will not come as a surprise, but apart from a track by the The Black Seeds, 'Dub Zealand' mainly introduced us to a host of little known artists (something which didn't make this soundscape less interesting). Fun trip for those who want to get to know Kiwi-dub!
