Jah Thomas will forever be tied to Triston Palmer's 'Entertainment' and his own version on that tune 'Friday Night Jamboree' (on this compilation as a 12-inch version featuring Ranking Toyan), but he was of course also the producer behind the Midnight Rock label. For its 12" Rulers series Greensleeves compiled 11 of the strongest 12-inch mixes from the label. Of course 'Entertainment' remains a killer tune, but 'Ghetto Dance' by Michael Palmer & Jim Brown and 'Gunshot' by Anthony Johnson, Jah Thomas and Ranking Toyan are classics in their own right.
