With the anniversary of the Sleng Teng riddim still fresh in the collective memory, VP Records now pays tribute to the pioneer of digital reggae, producer King Jammy. With tracks like Johnny Osbourne's 'Water Pumping', 'I Love King Selassie' by Black Uhuru and of course the unadulterated 'Under Mi Sleng Teng' by Wayne Smith, this compilation offers a collection of the biggest hits from Jammy's studio. The enclosed bonus DVD is a slight disappointment though: A lot of the artists that were made great by Jammy's are missing and the short documentary focusses too much on second rate talents. Interesting curiosity, but otherwise only for true Jammy fanatics.
