This new Pressure Sounds release focuses on a nice anecdote from reggae history. 'Once Upon A Time At King Tubby's' for the first time captures the musical banter between I Roy and Prince Jazzbo that occurred in the period 1974 - 1975. Big winner in this DJ shoot-out was producer Bunny Lee, as he produced and mixed just about all the tracks on this collector in the studios of King Tubby. Is this an essential compilation? Not really, but it's an original fait divers from what was without any doubt the most fruitful musical period in Jamaican history and the evidence that musical clashes are nothing new on the horizon!
