VP Records already dedicated an anthology to Yellowman once before ('Reggae Anthology: Look How Me Sexy', 2001), but that edition pales to 'Young, Gifted & Yellow'. Where that first anthology was made up of only one disc, the label this time presents a double album with an accompanying bonus-DVD (containing a recording of Yellowman's legendary performance at the Reggae Sunsplash festival in 1988). The two CDs offer the usual overview of hits ('Nobody Move Nobody Get Hurt', 'Zungguzungguguzungguzeng', 'Walking Jewelry Store'...), but lesser known songs and versions ('Shorties', a version of 'Mad Over Me', 'Out Of Hand', a lesser known song over the same riddim as 'Operation Eradication') weren't overlooked either. Perfect career overview of Jamaica's king of the dance hall!
